Speech Therapy

At Total Rehab Kids, our Speech Language Pathologists specialize in interventions to help your child gain appropriate communication, language, articulation, feeding and oral motor planning skills. Our licensed therapists provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans to meet your child’s unique needs.

Speech therapy is for children with any of the following:

• Receptive language disorder: when a child has difficulty understanding or processing language.
• Expressive language disorder: when a child has difficulty putting words together, limited vocabulary, or inability to use language in a socially appropriate way.
• Articulation disorder: when a child has difficulty producing sounds in syllables or saying words to the point that other people can’t understand what is being said.
• Fluency disorder: when a child has problems such as stuttering.
• Resonance or voice disorder: when a child has problems with the pitch, volume, or quality of the voice that distract listeners from what is being said.
• Dysphagia/oral feeding disorder: when a child has difficulties with eating and swallowing.
