Kim Martin

PT/ Regional Director of Total Rehab

Kim Martin is a South Texas native and has been a Physical Therapist for over 30 years. She has worked with Total Rehab since 2004 and has a passion for helping clients reach their full potential while also helping to alleviate their pain. Throughout her career, she has earned many certifications such as dry needling, lymphedema management, and kinesio-taping. Currently, Kim is the Regional Director for Total Rehab, overseeing operations for both Harlingen and Brownsville adult locations.

Jonathan Becerra

MS, CCC-SLP/ TRK Regional Director/ Cameron County

Jonathan Becerra is the Cameron County Regional Director for Total Rehab Kids. Jonathan, originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, graduated with a Masters of Science in Communication Disorders from Texas State University in 2012. He has been a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for over 10 years. Jonathan holds an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, is Vital Stim certified, and completed a bilingual cognate specializing in bilingual assessment, intervention, and second language acquisition. His center focus is to make sure all children get the best quality rehabilitation services while still fostering a team centered working environment. When not working, you can find Jonathan out fishing and hunting with his family.

Lane Hughes

MS, CCC-SLP/ TRK Regional Director/ Hidalgo County

Lane Hughes is the Hidalgo County Regional Director for Total Rehab Kids. She is also a Speech-Language Pathologist with state licensure in Texas who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing from Temple University and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Lane has been in the speech-language pathology field for 13 years and has worked in a variety of settings, including: home health, schools, outpatient clinics, and a children’s hospital. She has vast experience working with the pediatric population with a wide variety of physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Lane served on the cleft palate/craniofacial team at a children’s hospital and acquired experience in the assessment and treatment of infants and children with cleft lip and palate, velopharyngeal insufficiency/incompetence, and other craniofacial anomalies and syndromes. She also has extensive experience in the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). In her current role, Lane oversees administration as well as the operations of pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapists. A child’s earliest years are crucial to their development and success and Lane’s overall goal is to ensure that the pediatric patients at Total Rehab Kids receive quality, patient-centered intervention.

Miquel Salsa

Miquel Salsa

PT, DPT/ Clinic Administrator of Total Rehab Harlingen-

Dr. Salsa is the clinic administrator of Total Rehab in Harlingen. He is originally from Bethlehem, Palestine “the Holy Land”. He moved to Michigan in 2002 and later settled in the RGV in 2011. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology in 2007 and later his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2010 from the University of Michigan. Since graduating from the DPT program, he developed a special interest in manual therapy. He completed most of his continuing education in various manual therapy courses to sharpen his skills and techniques and better assist his patients. He is certified with Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy (MCMT), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization – level one (IASTM-1), and Dry Needling. In the future, he aims to earn his fellowship in Manual therapy and is currently completing the prerequisite courses. Though he practiced in various physical therapy settings including home health, pediatrics, and in-patient; he mostly enjoys working with orthopedic and sports injuries and practicing in the outpatient setting. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending quality time withhis wife, family, and friends.

PT / Clinic Administrator of Total Rehab Brownsville-

Maria Angela “Vic” Dixon has been working as a physical therapist for 38 years, and for the past four years, has been practicing with Total Rehab. She is the Clinic Administrator for the Brownsville outpatient clinic and specializes in Orthopedic and Manual Therapy cases. She has undergone training from esteemed professionals such as John Mennell, Stanley Paris, Mariano Rocabado, Richard Erhard, and John Iams, which has resulted in her becoming a versatile individual who employs a range of techniques, from conventional manual methods to
specialized patient care management. She is likewise trained and certified in Dry Needling I/II and Kinesiotherapy I-IV and holds intermediate certification in TMJ manipulation. When not working, she loves to travel especially to her native country, the Philippines but is now fully based in Brownsville, TX with her crew and family.
